RANGARH - Six villages in Jharkhand’s Ramgarh district have been provided electricity for the first time.

Under a government programme, villages like Kandher, Seor, Siduaar and Kachudaag got the electricity for the first time.

Villagers were very happy with the electrification of their village.

“After 63 years, we got electricity in our village. There are about six villages, which got electricity. Due to this all are very happy, including the old and young people. The children also start studying in the evening. After seeing their concentration, we can see they will do well in their lives,” said Ram Prakash Bedia, a schoolteacher.

“We all are very happy. We are also happy for our children as now they will get to study by electricity which was previously not possible; they used to study by the light of earthen lamps and lanterns, and are looking forward for a better future,” added Raghunath Bedia, a villager.

The District Commissioner of Ramgarh, Ganesh Prasad, said the state government is responsible for the electrification.

“This is the result of the policy of the state government in the Ramgarh District. We hope that rest of the districts would also get electricity like this,” said Prasad. By Girija Shankar Ojha (ANI)
