International Food and Drink Expo to commence today

NEW DELHI - Food and Processing Industries Minister Subhodh Kant Sahai will inaugurate an International Food and Drink Expo 2010 here today.
The three-day Expo will provide business opportunities for food and beverage industry organisation from India and abroad.
A 600 crore rupees National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM) is being set up in Kundil in Haryana.
It will be an apex world class institute of global standards in Food Science and Technology.
NIFTEM will cater to the needs of entrepreneurs, industry, exports, policy makers, government and existing institutions in food processing.
The Institute is also organising a Business Forum on “New Vistas in Food Processing on 2nd December.
Leading food industry professionals from India and abroad will be participating to discuss the current areas that are at the forefront of the food processing industry.
There will be two interactive sessions on Can Food be your medicine - Functional and Neutraceutical Foods and Food Supply Chain Management.
Eminent personalities from the Industry, Academia and Business will share a common platform to exchange their views and expertise in the Food Processing Sector. (ANI)
