WASHINGTON - Documents filed with the Federal Election Commission have revealed that Sarah Palin had raised nearly 500,000 dollars in just last month, thanks to her new book ‘America By Heart’.

The latest filing covers funds raised between October 13 and November 22 and details the candidates contributions to fellow Republicans running in the midterm election, reports the Politico.

Palin raised 469,000 dollars during the period, keeping pace with the 1.2 million dollars her PAC raised in the previous quarter.

SarahPAC spent 64,000 dollars buying copies of the former Alaska governor’s book from Harper Collins in order to send copies to her supporters in exchange for a 100-dollar contribution to the PAC.

It spent roughly the same amount to buy and then effectively sell copies of her last book, ‘Going Rogue’, released a year ago.

“We’re still really pleased with the popularity of the governor. We had this incredible burst of fund-raising before the election,” said SarahPAC treasurer Tim Crawford.

Palin’s haul over the last month brings her total to roughly 5 million dollars for the year. Her PAC contributed 244,000 dollars to candidates and other campaign committees during the period and spent 581,000 dollars overall. (ANI)
