Dharamsala, Dec 1 (ANI): Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, has commenced a three-day Sermon-Retreat for a group of Russian Buddhists at a monastery in Dharamsala.
The sermon would involve the teachings of Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo’s 37 practices of Boddhisattva (Laklen Sodunma) and confers a Guhyasamaja Initiation.
Russian Buddhists revere the Dalai Lama, and on their request, this special preaching session was organised.
“This teaching is basically requested by Russian Buddhists, for many years, we have been trying to bring the Dalai Lama to Russia. Due to reasons, we haven’t been able to bring him to Russia. So, therefore, we have arranged these teachings here in Dharamsala,” said Telo Rinpoche, a visiting Russian Buddhist.
Besides the Russian Buddhists, hundreds of Tibetans, including monks and tourists packed the Tsuglagkhang Temple in Dharamsala to listen to the Dalai Lama’s sermon.
The session will end on December 2. (ANI)
