Pension records of 13,000 freedom fighters computerized

NEW DELHI - Presenting his ministry’s monthly report for November, Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram on Tuesday said that the government has computerized the pension records of 13,000 freedom fighters this month.
He said that the database now has 262,000 records.
He also revealed that the drive to implement the judgments of courts continues, adding that in November 20 judgments were implemented and 87 judgments are still pending for implementation.
He also said that 55, 918 records of claims and compensation that had been paid to displaced persons had been computerized in November. The database now has 253,844 records.
The government, he said, introduced the Enemy Property (Amendment and Validation) Second Bill, 2010 on November 15 to amend The Enemy Property Act, 1968 in the Lok Sabha.
The Orissa (Alteration of Name) Bill, 2010 and The Constitution (One Hundred Thirteenth Amendment) Bill, 2010 was passed in the Lok Sabha on November 9, he said. (ANI)
