PETALING JAYA - About 200 Indian delegates will play a crucial role in deciding between candidates aligned to the Unity team and the Justice Reform team in the Selangor DAP polls on Sunday.

Selangor state executive councillor Teresa Kok who is the leader of the Unity team and Selangor state assembly speaker Teng Chang Khim who leads the other team is wooing the delegates, who come from 28 branches, The Star reports.

The support by the Indian delegates was evident in the divisional elections when the Justice Reform team won in Klang, Petaling Jaya Utara, Kuala Langat and Puchong divisions.

“Whichever team that has the solid backing of the Indians will win. At the moment, it is a close fight,” Justice Reform member James Ooi said.

There are 11 Indians among the 50 candidates contesting for the 15 posts in the polls. (ANI)
