WASHINGTON (GaeaTimes.com)- Clooney a cute looking copper colored Irish setter amazed everyone by bagging the title of the winner in the 2010 National Dog show. The event was endorsed by Purina. This event was shown on NBC network on Thanksgiving and needless to say the avid dog lovers stayed hooked to their TV sets. The winner dog is just three years old and even his handler Peter Kubacz was surprised at his win. He did not really expect his canine companion to beat other prospective contenders at the dog show. Peter Kubacz said in an interview after Clooney’s win that the nature of the dog and his love for human company possibly helped him win the award.

The handler of the National Dog show champion canine also added that Clooney is a very lovable and active dog. While other dogs who attend dog shows do not play much with toys Clooney has penchant for locating toys at the house and he loves fiddling with them. Another factor that might have led to his unexpected win is his matured looks and proportionate body. The dog deserves credit considering the fact that his handler is dealing with him for less than three months. It was at Wisconsin’s national specialty competition arranged by the Irish Setter Club of America that he came across the canine and they clicked at that very moment.

The video of 2010 National Dog show can be viewed at the NBC’s site. The Irish setter also called the Red setter by some is a mixed breed of family and hunting dog. They require heavy activities to stay fit and bond well with kids.
