LONDON - Two Taliban leaders have been killed by NATO troops - on each in eastern and western Afghanistan - over the weekend.
The Daily Express quoted the coalition as saying in a statement that a joint Afghan and NATO forces killed Fared Gul in an overnight operation in Zurmat district of Paktia province.
He had set up roadside bombs and orchestrated bomb attacks on coalition convoys and aircraft.
NATO also reported that on Saturday that a key Taliban leader involved in training foreign fighters was killed in the Bakwa district of Farah province in the west and another Taliban leader was captured in Baraki Barak district of Logar province, south of Kabul. (ANI)
