CBI nabs Swami Asimanand in Mecca Masjid blast

NEW DELHI - The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested preacher Swami Asimanand in connection with the Mecca Masjid blast in Hyderabad in May 2007.

Swami Asimanand was arrested from Haridwar where he was staying with fake identity documents.

He was produced before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate in Delhi who granted transit remand for two days.

Swami Asimanand will be produced before the designated court in Hyderabad for further remand.

Two more accused in the case are already in judicial custody. (ANI)
