Eight take ill after eating burgers in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - Eight members of a family fell unconscious after eating contaminated burgers at a restaurant Friday in Pakistan’s Punjab province, a media report said.

The family was immediately shifted to a hospital in Rahim Yar Khan city, where they were given emergency medical aid, the Online news agency reported.

Hospital authorities said five people have been discharged while three others were still under treatment.

Police have launched an inquiry into the incident.
