MUMBAI - The expansion of Maharashtra Cabinet, which was scheduled on Thursday, has been put off apparently as the names of the new entrants are yet to be finalised.

The expansion of the 11-member Ministry was slated to take place at Raj Bhavan this evening but has been postponed, official sources said.

The swearing-in-ceremony is now likely to take place at 11 a.m. on Friday.

Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is in Delhi to finalise the list of Congress ministers.

With the name of former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan cropping up in connection with the Adarsh Housing society scam, Prithviraj Chavan was on November 11 sworn-in as the 22nd Chief Minister of Maharashtra. (ANI)
