NEW DELHI - The Information and Broadcasting Ministry has served a notice to television channels airing ‘Bigg Boss 4′ and ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’ to air them only after 11 p.m. as they are not suitable for viewing by children.

“Both the shows are not for universal viewing and can be aired only in the scheduled time slot. The shows cannot be repeated at any other time slot or shown on news programmes,” NDTV quoted Information and Broadcasting Ministry officials, as saying.

While ‘Big Boss’ is being aired on Colors, ‘Rakhi ka Insaaf’ is aired on Imagine. These shows were earlier telecast at prime time.

The news channels, too, have been reportedly instructed not to carry any of the scenes or shots from the shows.

The decision has reportedly been taken following numerous complaints from viewers as well as the National Commission for Women and social activists who accused the channels of showing indecent content. (ANI)
