Former Oz principal jailed for sex attack on student - again

SYDNEY - A former NSW school principal who has already served a term for sex offences has been jailed again for at least four years for attacking another student.

Frank Bailey, the former principal of St Andrew’s Christian College in Grafton, in northern NSW, sexually attacked a 14-year-old student while she was asleep, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.

While sentencing Bailey, NSW District Court Judge Paul Lakatos said that the principal had already served a minimum two-year and three-month jail term for sex offences against another student.

In July, the judge, who heard Bailey’s trial without a jury, found him guilty of an aggravated sexual assault on the 14-year-old student in 2006.

In August, Bailey completed his term for sex offences involving a 16-year-old student in 2007.

The judge ordered the latest sentence to begin on February 4, meaning six months of the term is accumulated with his first term.

He set a maximum term of six years and six months. (ANI)
