LONDON - A female prison officer in Britain has quit her post after she allegedly had sex with a thug who had been jailed for robbery.
Giselle Woodford, 28, a married mum, and Jonathan Forrest, 21, are said to have romped in a prison interview room. prison source said Woodford fell for Forrest after being assigned as his personal officer - supposedly providing help and advice.
“Everyone knew they were at it,” the Sun quoted the source as saying.
“She was in his cell all the time laughing and flirting with him. Forrest worked out a lot in the gym and was a cocky Jack-the-lad, I think she got off on that,” the source stated.
The alleged affair was exposed when love letters she wrote to Forrest were found after he was moved from Onley Prison near Rugby, Warwicks, and Woodford resigned three weeks ago after bosses began an inquiry.
“She jumped before she was pushed. She didn’t want to risk being sacked and her husband finding out. She’s told him the prison is trying to stitch her up. But if you’ve done nothing wrong, why quit?” the source added.
Woodford who is the fifth female officer to quit the jail in six years after claims of affairs, spoke about it at the home she shares with husband Garry and their two-year-old daughter.
“It was a close friendship, what’s wrong with that? I sent him a birthday card. I’ve nothing more to say,” she explained. (ANI)
