GAYA - Villagers from Nagwa Garh near Bihar’s Gaya district have protested against removal of police posts which were set up to protect them against Maoists.
“The biggest problem of this region (the village) is Maoist threat, and we have been severely affected in the last 15 years. Police posts were here for 15 years. And today police posts are being removed due to elections (ongoing state assembly election). So, tell us will Maoist Communist Center (MCC) spare us during the month (during election)?” said Rana Swaraj Kumar Singh, a villager.
“Since, we support the government, the Maoist will not spare us (as the police posts are being removed during ongoing state assembly election in Bihar). I met SP (Superintendent of Police) one month before and he had assured us that police post will not be removed,” he added. By Surya Pratap Singh (ANI)
