India, Japan to celebrate 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations in 2012

TOKYO - India and Japan on Monday decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Japan in 2012.
Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan, who held extensive talks on bilateral, regional and global issues of shared interest here today, decided to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between India and Japan in 2012 in a befitting manner.
Both the leaders directed their officials to bring out a calendar of exchanges and events, aimed at bringing the two nations closer, to mark this important anniversary, said a joint statement released after the two Prime Ministers’ talks. (ANI)
