Jennifer Petkov Regrets Making Fun Of Dying Girl

TRENTON (Gaea Times.com)- A neighborhood feud turned nasty when Jennifer Petkov, with the intention of angering the Edward family, posted the photos of Kathleen Edward, on Facebook. The photos showed Kathleen Edward, who is in the final stages of Huntington’s disease, with her head in the place of a skull above a set of crossbones. A second photo showed her mother Laura Edward in the arms of the grim reaper. Laura Edward died last year from the same disease which Kathleen Edward is battling with. Jennifer Petkov reportedly regrets her action and apologized for her behavior.

Jennifer Petkov and husband Scott Petkov have reportedly faced criticism for their actions against an innocent and dying child. Scott Petkov has been reportedly suspended from his job, while his elder son was sent home after entering into an argument with a classmate over the photos on the web. Scott Petkov confirmed his fear that he may lose his job. Jennifer Petkov on realizing the damage she has done, apologized for it and said that she hopes her husband does not lose his job, she further said that she hopes Kathleen Edward has not seen the pictures.

Jennifer Petkov’s page has been reportedly removed from Facebook. Meanwhile the family of Kathleen Edward has been contacted by many people, who have sympathy and are sorry for the child. At least three Facebook pages have come up supporting the 7 year old girl. A rally has been organized for her on October 23, 2010 from 3 pm to 8:30 am at Haas Park in Trenton. The invitation reads, “She has been tormented by sadistic neighbors. Please come and join us in showing Kathleen that there are good people that care”.
