LONDON - Radical Yemeni cleric Anwar al-Awlaki has re-emerged with a video calling for more terror attacks on the West.
According to the Daily Mail, Islamic websites with known ties to Al-Qaeda have announced the planned release of the video featuring Al-Awlaki.
US officials claim that Al-Awlaki is playing an active role in organizing and inspiring specific terror plots on U.S. targets.
Al-Awlaki was in the U.S. before the September 11 attacks, and is believed to have preached to some of the hijackers.
After the attacks, Al-Awlaki went to Yemen were he became increasingly radicalized calling for bombings and killings of non-Muslims.
Earlier, in April, US President Barrack Obama had approved the targeted killing of Al-Awlaki through a series of drone attacks.
However, the new video proves that the drone attacks have proved unsuccessful. (ANI)
