BANGKOK, THAILAND (GaeaTimes.com)- Krispy Kreme which is a well known US based donut chain has opened its first branch in Thailand’s capital Bangkok and this has made the foodies in the city ecstatic. The first store of the company in Bangkok has come up at the Siam Paragon shopping mall. The inauguration of the store generated enough pre release buzz in the capital and a lot of the residents were seen assembling outside the store. In fact hundreds of excited customers lined up outside the store to get the sugary and yummy fried dough before others.

The fact that led to the mass interest is the outlet had announced prior to the inauguration of the store that it would offer a dozen free donuts per week for a year to the customer who would come first at the store. The customer who would be the second one would get six month’s supply for free. Even the 200th customer would get a dozen donuts for free on the day as it was declared by the outlet. The brand Krispy Kreme became popular in the USA since its inception and the popularity has spread in other countries as is evident from the rush in Bangkok’s mall.

Krispy Kreme donuts are delicious for sure and people from all age group love munching on them. However the health experts have warned about high calorie value of these donuts. However, the heath risk warning seems to have little effect on the foodies who continue to gorge on the donuts. The brand is becoming popular very fast owing to its aggressive advertising.
