QUETTA - Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) President Talal Akbar Bugti has said that former President Pervez Musharraf, not the Pakistan Army, was involved in the murder of his father Akbar Bugti.

Bugti was Baloch Bugti tribe’s head, and had served as Minister of State for Interior and Balochistan Governor.

Earlier, Minister of State for Defence Production Abdul Qayyum Jatoi had said that the Pakistan Army was involved in Bugti’s murder.

Talal expressed his firm resolve that Musharraf would be brought to justice for the crime he had committed, and vowed to avenge his father’s murder in accordance with the Baloch traditions.

He also announced a hefty reward of 1,000 acres of canal-irrigated land in Katchi Canal area to anybody who would manage to kill the former President.

Talal further said that Musharraf would be given “red-carpeted” (carpet of death) welcome if he returns to Pakistan.

He also accused General Nadeem Taj, Brigadier Mumtaz, Brigadier Masood, Colonel Furqan, Major Nadeem and Major Ali of Bugti’s murder, and appealed to the Supreme Court to dispense due justice in the case. (ANI)
