Delhi Chief Minister visits Games Village thrice in a day on Sunday

NEW DELHI - Amidst concerns being expressed over C’wealth Games preparations and prevailing conditions from almost all quarters, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit visited the Games Village three times on Sunday to personally take stock of the situation.

The CM assessed maintenance, security and other facilities for athletes and international delegates.

During one of her visits, Dikshit also met the Union Cabinet Secretary K M Chandrashekhar, who convened a meeting of top security officials to review the security arrangements today.

Games Village can presently accommodate over 7,000 athletes and delegates. Arrangements have also been made for athletes and delegates in some five star hotels. (ANI)
