Curfew lifted from different parts of Kashmir valley

SRINAGAR - Authorities here on Sunday lifted curfew from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir state including Budgam, Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian, Awantipora, and Handwara areas.

However, curfew was relaxed in Kupwara, Sopore, Ganderbal,Kangan, Bandipora,Sumbal,Baramulla, and Srinagar

From district Budgam in central Kashmir, curfew has been lifted, however, other restrictions under section 144 CrPc continues to remain in place in the district.

Meanwhile, curfew restrictions were relaxed for varying durations in different parts.

Curfew restrictions in Kralpora and Trehgam areas of Kupwara were relaxed from 10 :30 am to 2 pm, while in Kupwara town from 12 pm to 2 pm, which has further been extended upto 6 :30 pm.

In Khushal matoo, and Batpora areas in Sopore, restrictions were relaxed from 11 am to 1 pm, while across chanakhan bridge towards degree college ,Iqbal market, and Ganjoo House areas from 3 to 5 pm.

Similarly, in East, West, South and Hazratbal Zones of Srinagar city, restrictions have been relaxed from 11am, and in North zone from 1 to 5 pm.

In Ganderbal and Kangan areas, restrictions were relaxed from 11 to 1 pm, which were further extended upto7 pm.

In Bandipora town from 12 to 2 pm, and at Sumbal from 11 am to 1 pm, which has further been extended upto 6 pm in Bandipora and 7pm in Sumbal.

In Baramulla and its adjoining areas, curfew restrictions were relaxed from 3 pm to 6 pm, while in Tangmarg and Kunzar areas from 1 pm to 4 pm and extended up to 6 pm. (ANI)
