FIR lodged against Pak Punjab minister for torturing wife

LAHORE - A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Punjab Livestock and Dairy Development Minister- Syed Haroon Ahmad Sultan- for torturing his wife, according to police and family sources.

South Cantonment Police Station House Officer- Malik Raheel Amjad- said that the police registered the case under Section 506/B, on a complaint lodged by the minister’s wife Fatima Sajjad, the Daily Times reported.urther sections would be added to the FIR after receiving the victim’s medical report, he added, noting that Fatima had informed the police that she had been severely tortured by her husband.

Bushra Sajjad, mother of the victim, said that Fatima was in a critical condition and had been admitted to the Services Hospital.

Fatima is the daughter of former state minister from Renala Khurd, Syed Sajjad Haider Shah. (ANI)
