Lisa weakens to tropical depression in Atlantic
MIAMI — Lisa is drifting slowly far out over the Atlantic Ocean after weakening to a tropical depression.
The depression has maximum sustained winds Thursday near 35 mph (55 kph) with some strengthening forecast during the next two days.
Lisa is located about 340 miles (550 kilometers) west-northwest of the Cape Verde Islands and is moving north near 2 mph (4 kph).
Heavy rainfall is possible over the northwestern Cape Verde Islands.
