Correction: Social Fundraising story
NEW YORK — In a story Sept. 17 about Social Fundraising, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the average contribution toward projects on the website Kickstarter is $25. That figure represents the middle value — or median — when the contributions are ranked from lowest to highest. Kickstarter refused to disclose the average.
