ISLAMABAD - Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has urged all stakeholders to find a political solution for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
“The political forces should step forward to resolve the Kashmir dispute,” The Daily Times quoted Musharraf, as saying.
Musharraf also said that the government should commence a dialogue process with India and other stakeholders.
Earlier, Indian Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had called for continuing the process of engagement between the two countries.
“We have decided to engage with Pakistan and I hope Qureshi accepts the invitation to come to India,” Singh had said in New Delhi.
Indian External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna had also invited Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi to visit Delhi.
Although there was officially no reply to the invitation, Qureshi had made acceptance of the invitation conditional to India’s willingness to talk on ‘full range’ of issues that have hit bilateral relations for decades. (ANI)
