Two foreign tourists injured in firing near Jama Masjid

NEW DELHI - Two foreign tourists were reportedly injured in firing near the historic Jama Masjid in the walled city area on Sunday morning.

Both tourists were injured near Gate Number 3 of the mosque. They are residents of Taiwan. One was injured in his leg, while the other in his stomach.

Initial reports said two men on motorbikes fired eight to ten rounds on a tourist bus near the Jama Masjid.

The two injured have been admitted to Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Narayan Hospital for treatment.

Delhi Police is questioning the eyewitnesses in relation to the incident. (ANI)
