ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif, declaring that the time to resolve the Kashmir imbroglio in accordance with the aspirations of the Kashmiri people had arrived, has urged the international community to chip in to solve the crisis.
He said the world community must take note of the ongoing spate of aggression against Kashmiris and help solve the longstanding conflict that alone could guarantee peace in south Asia, The News reports.
“This factor warrants the resolution of the Kashmir issue as the top global priority”, Nawaz told a delegation of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), in the wake of huge unrest in Kashmir valley.
Assuring the delegation that the Pakistanis and the PML-N would continue to extend moral and political support to the struggle of the Kashmiris, he said, “The struggle is destined to continue despite all odds and repressive tactics would fail to hold it back.”
“We believe that no peaceful movement for the inalienable political right of self-determination can be suppressed by brute force for long,” he added. (ANI)
