CANBERRA - US ambassador to Australia, Jeffrey Bleich, has confirmed that President Barack Obama would be visiting Canberra soon, after postponing it twice.

According to News.com.au, although Bleich did not give details of the plan, he said: “Even if he did not come out for another year and a half, he would still be coming out earlier than any other US president during their term in office.”

Earlier, Obama postponed his visit to the country twice - first time, to shore up support for a key healthcare reform package and second time after the disastrous BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in June. (ANI)
