WASHINGTON — A U.S. official says freed American Sarah Shourd’s (shurd’s) flight has taken off from Iran following her release from prison.
The official says that barring last-minute changes, the flight from Tehran is expected to land in Oman, where Shourd’s mother is waiting for her.
The official spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the situation.
