Police opened fire in the air to disperse the mob.

Soon after the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers a mob set ablaze a police post and damaged a police gypsy.

No casualties were, however, reported in the incident.

Meanwhile, All Parties Hurriyat Conference chief Mirwaiz Umar Farooq is leading a procession from Idgah to the Lal Chowk in the heart of Srinagar, and has called for a half-an-hour sit in protest in the heart of the city. (ANI)
