Pfizer enters research partnership with the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation

NEW YORK — Pfizer Inc. said Wednesday its animal health unit and the American Kennel Club Canine Health Foundation entered an exclusive research partnership.
Pfizer said the goal is to strengthen efforts to prevent, treat and cure canine disease.
Pfizer will provide $500,000 over two years and will focus on both basic and applied research initiatives. The company and American Kennel Club will share leadership and scientific expertise.
“The collaboration is part of Pfizer Animal Health’s ongoing Commitment to veterinarians supporting veterinarians through training and education, research and development, and investing in the future of the veterinary profession,” Pfizer said, in a statement.
