Correction: Oval Office Rug story
WASHINGTON — In a story Sept. 7 about the new rug in the Oval Office, The Associated Press erroneously reported the first name of a 19th-century abolitionist who inspired the late civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. The individual is Theodore Parker, not Thomas Parker.
