MADISON (GaeaTimes.com)- Taste of Madison is one of the most popular food festivals in Madison, which is located in the state of Wisconsin. Taste of Madison is held each year over Labor Day Weekend and it showcases more than 75 local restaurants from across the city. Taste of Madison 2010 kicked off yesterday and it has so far attracted thousands of gourmets from all over the city.

Taste of Madison 2010 organizers have promised that this year there will be more attractions for the people with so many restaurants and near about 20 beverage stands. However, the food festivals in other cities generally start on Friday before July 4 and continue for next 8 days. This year the participating restaurants are selling variety of unique and traditional lip-smacking dishes to estimated thousands of attendees. The organizers of Taste of Madison 2010 have fixed the prizes of every food item from $1 to $4. This year Taste of Madison pulled in more crowds because the admission to the event is free.

The Taste of Madison 2010 aims to provide a platform to the local restaurant owners to attract the public to visit their restaurants in the future. These two days there are three stages of events which comprise of the performance by the rock bands, country band and DJs. A reputed media source reported that Taste of Madison 2010 will feature performances by “Collective Soul”, “Gin Blossoms”, “Crash Kings” and “Marcy Playground”. This year Taste of Madison is taking place on the Capitol Square and it is organized by Madison Festivals, Inc.
