VARANASI - Designer veils of various kinds have flooded the markets during the Ramzan in Uttar Pradesh.

Shopkeepers have displayed different kinds of designer Burqa or veils luring the shoppers in Varanasi.

Burqa is an outer garment worn by Muslim women as per Islamic tradition.

Women of all age groups are shopping in the market to view and buy the latest fashionable veils.

In earlier years veils were very traditional and plain but now they are available in fashionable cuts and exciting patterns and colours.

“The veil which is in fashion is the best because people wear it the most. The earlier plain veils are no longer in vogue. So women of all age groups want these (designer veils).

You have veils with Zari work, embroidery, artificial stone work, and every type of design is available and people like it,” said Shabina, a customer. By Girish Dubey (ANI)
