Brit woman driver fondles self while overtaking lorries

LONDON - A woman driver in Britain has been taken to court after she was spotted performing a sex act on herself while overtaking lorries on the M6.

Miranda Chapman, 43, a mum-of-four, from Appleby-in-Westmorland, is said to have pulled down her trousers and knickers to pleasure herself.

She was spotted by trucker Jonathan Kitchen, who looked out of his cab and saw her naked below the waist as she slowly overtook his HGV in her Peugeot 307.

He was so shocked by the sight that he called police, and a patrol pulled Chapman over a few miles further along the motorway.

Prosecutors told magistrates in Penrith, Cumbria, that Kitchen is convinced she was deliberately going slowly.

Chapman wept at the hearing after she admitted dangerous driving and outraging decency.

Defence lawyer Judith Birbeck said Chapman was “trying to make herself feel better” after being left “greatly distressed” by the news her mentally ill daughter was pregnant and her son was being deployed to Afghanistan.

“As far as she was concerned she was in the privacy of her own car,” the Sun quoted Birbeck as saying.

Chapman, who had been returning home from a shopping trip, denied slowing down so that people could see her.

Magistrates imposed an interim-driving ban until Chapman, a volunteer worker for a domestic abuse helpline, is sentenced next month. (ANI)
