Nitish to discuss hostage crisis at Patna all-party meeting

PATNA - Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will preside over an all-party meeting here on Saturday to discuss the kidnapping of policemen by Maoists.

Kumar is also trying to personally contact opposition leaders to take them into confidence on the kidnapping issue.

Meanwhile, a self-proclaimed spokesman of the Maoists, Avinash, telephoned media offices in Bihar and showed his readiness to hold talks with the State Government.

Saturday’s propsed meeting will take place a day after. The Maoists killed a Bihar Police sub-inspector Lucas Tete in the Lakhisarai District of the State.

The Maoists still have three policemen in their custody. (ANI)
