KUALA LUMPUR - Malay Indian families living in Sekinchan since the 1950s have claimed that there has been no progress by the authorities in ruling over their land titles.
The Star and the Malaysian Nanban quoted the families spokesman M. Arjunan as saying that they had written to the previous and present state government as well as the Prime Minister on this, but the Prime Minister’s Office replied that land was under the purview of the state government.
Arjunan said they also wrote two letters to State Executive Councillor Dr Xavier Jeyakumar, who had not replied.
Sekinchan state assemblyman Ng Suee Lim, however, said Dr Xavier would meet the families soon. (ANI)
