JHARGRAM - Two CPM workers were shot dead by suspected Maoists in West Bengal’s West Midnapore District on Thursday.

According to police sources, two bullet-riddled bodies were found on the road linking Kalabani to Fansitala near Ektal village under the Jhargram Police station.

A Maoist poster found near the spot said the two were killed as they were associated with the CPM and were police informers.

The bodies could not be immediately removed as a can bomb-like object was lying nearby. Bomb squad personnel were informed. (ANI)
