Vienna man confessed to raping cellar girl before killing himself

LONDON - The man, who imprisoned a ten-year-old schoolgirl for eight-years in a cellar, is said to have confessed to raping her hours before he killed himself.
Wolfgang Priklopil, who had imprisoned Natascha Kampusch, 22, told Ernst Holzapfel he was “a kidnapper and rapist”, before he threw himself in front of a train.
This is the first time that evidence of Priklopil abusing Kampusch has come out, as she had always refused to discuss it.
Holzapfel insists he did not know about the kidnapping.
“He called me and said it was an emergency and I should collect him. When I heard what he said my world collapsed. I was truly shocked,” the Sun quoted him as saying.
Holzapfel, 46, was cleared by a court in Vienna, Austria, of helping Priklopil flee police on the day in 2006 when Kampusch escaped from the secret dungeon. (ANI)
