Naparajit Mukherjee new West Bengal police chief

KOLKATA - Naparajit Mukherjee will be West Bengal’s new director general of police, a state government release said Monday.
Mukherjee would take over from Bhupinder Singh, who retires Tuesday.
A 1976 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, Mukherjee is currently the director general (Intelligence Bureau).
