Obama spending rain-hit holiday playing Scrabble

LONDON - US President Barack Obama is apparently spending his holiday indoors playing Scrabble - thanks to the rain.ill Burton, a White House spokesman said the First Family were “having a great time”, enjoying playing games and reading as Martha’s Vineyard was hit by wind and rain.

“I’ve heard reports of Taboo and Scrabble being played. And this will probably get me fired, but I know that Valerie did not do so well in Scrabble against the president,” the Telegraph quoted Burton as referring to Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett.

“They’re also watching some movies, reading some books and getting some good downtime, spending time with each other,” he added.

The Obamas have renting Blue Heron Farm on the island for the second consecutive year.

The rain has kept Obama’s golf outings down to just two and - unable to play basketball on a court at the farm. (ANI)
