LONDON - A woman, Wendy Lewis, who urinated on a war memorial in Blackpool and performed a sex act nearby, is due back in court after fleeing her sentencing hearing last week.
“Wendy Lewis, 32, was given a ‘guard of dishonour’ by angry war veterans when she appeared at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court last Friday,” reports the Daily Express
An arrest warrant was issued against Lewis, who fled the building 20 minutes later on Friday.
“Lewis, of Princess Street, Blackpool, was detained on Tuesday night and will return to the court to be sentenced,” said a Lancashire Police spokeswoman.
Lewis was caught on CCTV relieving herself on the cenotaph in the town before performing a sex act on a man nearby. (ANI)
