THIRUVANANTHAPURAM - A technical snag in an Emirates Airline flight forced Thiruvananthapuram Member of Parliament Shashi Tharoor and his wife Sunanda Pushkar to delay their honeymoon in Dubai and Spain.

Reports quoted airport sources, as saying that the flight to Dubai was scheduled to take off at 4.35 a.m., but took off at 5 a.m.

The plane, however, returned to the airport at 6 a.m. after experiencing a technical snag. Their flight was rescheduled for take-off in the afternoon, the sources added.

Tharoor and Sunanda wed at his 200-year-old ancestral home near Palakkad in a traditional Kerala Hindu ceremony on Sunday.

The wedding is the third for both Tharoor and Dubai-based Pushkar.

The couple is to host a reception in Dubai before heading to Spain for a short honeymoon. (ANI)
