Muzique’s Nightclub faces flak for barring ‘fat girls’

MELBOURNE - A posh nightclub in Canada has come under fire for barring “fat girls” from an upcoming celebration.
The invitation was posted on the Facebook page of Muzique, a posh nightclub in Montreal, Canada.
Club-goers were furious to read the invitation.
Muzique’s management took the invitation down, saying the comment was an “accident” and that they will consider posting an apology.
“We didn’t even realise (the comment) was there until a couple of days ago, and it was too late to retract it because the event had already happened,” news.com.au quoted John Jay, who oversees communication and marketing for Muzique, as telling the Montreal Gazette.
Jay says the party planners are responsible for posting the invitation, not the club owners.
He said the planners thought it would be funny to include the comment in the invitation as “an inside joke”. (ANI)
