THANE - At least ten persons reportedly died after a two-storeyed building collapsed at Kalwa near Thane in Maharashtra on Tuesday night.

A dozen fire tenders were rushed to the spot for rescue operations.

Eyewitnesses said many people are still trapped under the debris of the building.

“There were three to five people whom we rescued. One of them is Swapnil Keni. We admitted him to the hospital in ward number 10. He is fine now, but his leg has been injured. Around 25 to 30 people must be there inside the debris,” said Rakesh, an eyewitness.

Some construction work was on at the time of the incident. (ANI)
