Yeddyurappa apologises for minister’s road rage

BANGALORE - Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa on Tuesday apologised for the alleged misconduct of Labour Minister B N Bachegowda, after the letter had beaten up a businessman and his family for overtaking his car.

“I cannot tolerate such behaviour from any of my ministers. So, I apologise on behalf of the minister,” Yeddyurappa told reporters.

Yeddyurappa said he would summon Bachegowda and seek explanation.

According to report, Bachegowda, who was returning to Bangalore after hoisting the national flag in Hassan on Sunday, thrashed the businessman and his family at Maragondanahalli near Nelamangala, for overtaking his car on National Highway 48.

The minister allegedly used foul language during the incident. (ANI)
