RAJKOT - Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday criticised the Central Government for failing to curb terrorism and naxalism and showing the lack of willingness to do it.

“The Congress-led Government at the Centre has no will to tackle terrorism. It’s a demand of time to take strict action against terrorism which the United States did after 9/11 and since then terrorists didn’t dare to target the country,” said Modi after unfuring the tricolour at the Rajkot Municipal Corporation cricket ground here on the occasion of the 64th Independence Day.

Modi said that it is unfortunate that Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has termed terrorism and naxal menace ‘as a mere serious issue’.

Further lashing out at Dr Singh, Modi said the Prime Minister in his Independence Day speech asked the farmers to to enhance agricultural production, but was silent on the issue of rotting food grains. (ANI)
