LONDON - A British chippie has come up with the world’s healthiest fish and chips - with just 500 calories, which is 330 less than a traditional meal.
Oliver’s Fish and Chips in Belsize Park, North London, sells the dish for 7 pounds.
“Diners still love the taste of traditional fish and chips. We made it possible to enjoy the great British meal without piling on pounds,” the Sun quoted Owner Mario Budwig, 50, as saying.
A special rapeseed oil is used to cook the grub faster at a higher temperature than normal, allowing less fat to be absorbed.
Chunky chips also soak up less grease. And half the normal amount of batter covers the cod.
Finally, the dish stands for ten minutes after cooking to drain off extra oil. (ANI)
