ISLAMABAD - The Pakistan Senate’s Standing Committee on Interior has criticized the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) management for awarding a contract to an Israeli company, and asked the Petroleum Ministry and the Federal Investigation Agency to launch a joint inquiry into it.

According to the Daily Times, the committee met under the chairmanship of Senator Talha Mehmood, and concluded that rules had been violated while awarding the contract.

The Senate committee claimed that the contract posed “a serious risk” to national security, and therefore, asked the ministries of petroleum and interior to submit a report on the issue within 15 days. (ANI)
